Why settle for ordinary, often gritty protein powders with weird ingredients you can't pronounce when you can stock your pantry with minimally processed, silky smooth staples containing clean ingredients that work for everything from smoothie bowls to burgers and baked goods? 🤔 These Savory Walnut Protein Crackers are the perfect complement to your appetizer board, or for everyday snacking.
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup Octonuts California Walnut Protein Powder
0.2 oz shredded parmesan
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
4 tbsp cold butter
1 tbsp cold water
1 egg white, whisked
Preheat the oven 360F.
Make the dough: Place flour, Octonuts Walnut Protein Powder, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, thyme leaves, and butter into the food processor. Process until dough starts to crumb.
Add one tablespoon water and process until the dough starts to clump.
Place the dough between two parchment papers and roll out very thin. Cut dough into desired cracker shapes using a sharp knife or cookie cutter.
Using a spatula or pastry scraper, transfer the crackers to the prepared sheet pans. Be careful not to crowd the crackers. Give them an egg wash then bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
