Give the classic Green Beans Almondine recipe a flavor enhancement that was meant to bean 😉 with our Cold Pressed Virgin Almond Oil.
1 package (12 ounces) frozen green beans (see Substitutions note below if fresh green beans are available / preferred)
3 tablespoons Octonuts California Almond Oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper
Place green beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered for 7-8 minutes or until beans are tender. Drain water; set aside.
In a large skillet, heat Octonuts Almond Oil over low heat, cook minced garlic for 1 minute; do not burn. Add sliced almonds and sauté for 2 additional minutes. Add green beans, salt and pepper; toss to combine.
Substitutions: If using fresh green beans, wash and trim the ends; cook in boiling water for around 3 minutes. Proceed with steps 3-5 of the recipe.
